Assurances Meridian Energy's takeover of Flick Electric won't impact electricity prices

Assurances Meridian Energy's takeover of Flick Electric won't impact electricity prices

The power gentailer is taking the independent retailer's 41-thousand electricity customers off Z Energy for 70 million dollars.

It'll increase Meridian's market share to 18 percent and further consolidate New Zealand's four big power companies positions.

Meridian Energy Chief Customer Officer Lisa Hannifan says the market remains competitive.

She says they're all still fighting for every customer and their new Flick customers will be well served.
