A 39-year-old man's before Waitakere District Court - accused of a lego-stealing spree across the North Island

He faces seven charges relating to thefts targeting retailers since January.

Police say highly valuable lego items were stolen, or their barcodes altered.

They carried out a search and recovered a number of the toys.
