    New South Wales prop Payne Haas has been cleared to join the squad for next Wednesday's State of Origin series opener at Suncorp Stadium

    Haas suffered a quad injury in the Broncos' NRL loss to the Dragons - but scans have revealed only a minor strain.

    Speaking before the scans results had come through, coach Laurie Daley underlined Haas's impact.
