Two people are recovering in Auckland's Middlemore hospital, following an alleged stabbing at the Pakuranga Night Market last night

Two people are recovering in Auckland's Middlemore hospital, following an alleged stabbing at the Pakuranga Night Market last night

Police received reports of the incident on Aylesbury Street shortly before seven, and found two badly injured people.

They say they're currently following lines of enquiry to locate the alleged offender.

A witness told our newsroom they heard screaming and then saw a group of people gather around a badly injured young man.

Police say enquiries suggest this is an isolated incident and there is not believed to be any further risk to the public.
