A cousin of murdered five-year-old, Malachi Subecz says she tried 10 times in three days to raise the alarm about his caregiver

Michaela Barriball killed the boy in 2021, after months of abuse.

A coronial inquest is in its second day.

Megan Cotter's told the court she was terrified when Malachi was handed to Barriball, when his mother was jailed.

She says she made numerous attempts to alert authorities his living situation was unsafe - and was proved correct.
