The Green Party's gearing up for the campaign, as the next election's just over a year away.

Co-leader Marama Davidson is speaking to party faithful in Wellington today, outlining the party's vision for the country.

It follows the release of the party's alternative budget which proposed 88 billion dollars in new taxes, to fund expanded social services and climate policy.

Co-leader Chloe Swarbrick promises a Government she's a part of, will be the most progressive in New Zealand's history.

She says the Greens are setting the agenda and contributing to the debate.
