The Government's proposing to cut red tape - for licensing rules in the events sector

The Government's proposing to cut red tape - for licensing rules in the events sector

It proposed changes last week, targeting reforms to alcohol legislation - including the power for televised national events to be exempt from special licensing requirements.

Today Associate Justice Minister Nicole McKee announced the government is streamlining regulations for events.

She says key reforms include removing inconsistent decision-making across the country and a coordinated approach for multi-district events.
