The mother of the Marokopa children has pleaded guilty to drink driving

Catherine Christey crashed her car in Waimahora just before 10.30pm on August 2, after driving over three times the alcohol limit.

She first appeared in court last month, the day her ex-husband Tom Phillips was shot dead.

She's been issued a 400-dollar fine at the Te Kuiti District Court today, appearing via video link.

Christey will also have to install a breath-test device in her car, and have a zero alcohol licence for three years.
