A man has been shot and robbed at a Fielding park while attempting to purchase a two-thousand dollar pair of shoes

A man has been shot and robbed at a Fielding park while attempting to purchase a two-thousand dollar pair of shoes

Police are investigating the armed robbery at Kowhai Park on Saturday.

A friend of the victim says two men travelled to the park to meet a seller from an online marketplace.

They say three masked individuals demanded money at the agreed location - and one was armed with a point-22 rifle.

The passenger of the vehicle was shot in the leg when he refused to hand over the money - while both men were robbed of their cell phones.

Police say an investigation is ongoing.
