Anger over systemic failures that led to Christchurch Hospital staff being exposed to toxic fumes

Anger over systemic failures that led to Christchurch Hospital staff being exposed to toxic fumes

A Health NZ memo sent to staff confirms more than 120-staff fell ill last October, from a chemical used in paint work.

    Seven have suffered life-long injuries.

APEX National Secretary Deborah Powell says Canterbury's Health NZ management team's attitude to health and safety is poor.

She says this isn't the first time a worker's ended up in ICU because of their standards.
