An unscheduled drive for golfer Ryan Fox

His US PGA Tour win at the Myrtle Beach Classic in South Carolina yesterday has gained him entry into this week's PGA Championship at Quail Hollow in North Carolina, the year's second major.

Fox says others in the field won't be getting a head-start, as he and his family embark on a four-hour interstate roadie.

The PGA Championship starts on Friday, New Zealand time.
