The Reserve Bank has a lot to consider with this afternoon's OCR decision

The Reserve Bank has a lot to consider with this afternoon's OCR decision

Economists are expecting the Official Cash Rate to remain momentarily steady at 3.25 percent - after six consecutive reductions.

ASB's Nick Tuffley says it's likely the Reserve Bank will want to hold off making another cut - until it has more clarity about the US tariffs.

He says the economy's taking its time to get going - and inflation will be bouncing between two and three percent over the next year or so.

Tuffley says it isn't exactly low - which is why the Reserve Bank's a bit wary about making a decision when it's in the hot seat
