It's thought next year could bring some heat back to the housing market

There have been seven reductions in the OCR since last August.

Ray White Head of Auctions Sam Steele expects to see prices pick up steam in the middle or end of next year.

He says there's already some positive signs for the real estate sector.

Steele says auctions and the number of people bidding in them is already starting to increase.
