    The Deputy Privacy Commissioner is urging people whose data may have been compromised in major breaches - to take immediate precautions


    More than 100-thousand people may be impacted by the hack of the privately-owned Manage My Health portal - used by GP clinics, and containing sensitive health data.

    Community platform Neighbourly's also been breached and users' private information put up for sale online.

    Deputy Commissioner Liz Macpherson says people are right to be concerned.

    She says people should change their password, particularly if it's used across platforms, and monitor their bank, phone, email and other accounts for suspicious activity.
