Angelina Jolie feels "excited" to move abroad

The 50-year-old actress has put her home in Los Angels up for sale, as she prepares for a life outside of the US.

A source told People: "She's ready for a life that isn't centered in Los Angeles."

Angelina - who was married to actor Brad Pitt between 2014 and 2019 - is now looking forward to the future with optimism.

The insider explained: "There are a lot of projects she's excited about and she's feeling good.

"She's looking forward to 2026 and the flexibility she'll have then."

A source previously claimed that Angelina - who has Maddox, 24, Pax, 22, Zahara, 20, Shiloh, 19, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 17, with her ex-husband - never actually wanted to live in Los Angeles at all.

The insider told People in August that the movie star "never wanted to live in L.A. full time. She didn't have a choice because of the custody arrangement with Brad."

The source added that the actress "plans to relocate as soon as Knox and Viv turn 18 next year. She's eyeing several locations abroad. She'll be very happy when she's able to leave Los Angeles."

Meanwhile, Angelina previously admitted that her motivations have changed during the course of her career.

The actress played opera singer Maria Callas in the biographical drama film Maria in 2024 and Angelina explained how she now related to her on-screen character.

The Oscar-winning star told Sky News: "There's this kind of study of being human that we do when we create, and we communicate with an audience because our work is not in isolation - it's a connection.

"I think when I was younger, I had different questions about being human and different feelings and now as I've gotten older, I understand some things and now I have different questions."

Angelina felt she could relate to her character because of everything she's been through in her own life.

She said: "It's a matter of life, right? And so maybe that's interesting that this now is a character really contemplating death and really contemplating the toll of certain things in life that I, of course, couldn't have understood in my 20s."
