Bad Bunny's Super Bowl Halftime Show has broken the all-time global viewership record

The 31-year-old rapper - whose real name is Benito Ocasio - performed at Super Bowl LX in February, and Roc Nation has now confirmed that his set drew 4.157 billion views worldwide in the first 24 hours across global broadcasts, YouTube, and other digital platforms.

The figure represents a 137 per cent increase on last year's Halftime Show, which was headlined by rapper Kendrick Lamar.

The award-winning star made history during the performance as the first Halftime Show headliner to perform almost entirely in Spanish, paying tribute to Puerto Rico and the wider Latin community.

He was joined on stage by Ricky Martin and Lady Gaga, with celebrities including Pedro Pascal, Cardi B and Karol G also taking part in the Super Bowl performance.

The show drew 128.2 million live US TV viewers - the fourth-highest figure in Halftime Show history - with Kendrick's 2025 performance still holding the live viewership record with 133.5 million viewers.

Bad Bunny's social media impact proved similarly impressive, too.

The NFL's three most-viewed social posts of all time now all come from his performance, with a clip titled Only Thing More Powerful Than Hate Is Love accumulating 179 million views on Instagram alone.

Prior to the Halftime Show, Gloria Estefan backed Bad Bunny to "kill it" when he took to the stage.

The award-winning singer - who performed during the Halftime Shows in 1992 and 1999 - also acknowledged that playing the Super Bowl can be a "nerve-wracking" experience.

She told E! News: "In those minutes, he's gonna have the ability to impact the world, because it's billions of people watching, which kind of makes it kind of nerve-wracking."

Despite this, Gloria was always convinced that the rapper would wow the worldwide audience with his talent.

She said: "He's gonna kill it, I'm sure."
