A teen accused of murdering American PHD student Kyle Whorrall on Saturday has appeared in court

A teen accused of murdering American PHD student Kyle Whorrall on Saturday has appeared in court

The 33-year-old was fatally attacked at a bus stop in Meadowbank.

The 16 year old's also accused of aggravated robbery.

He's appeared in the Auckland District Court today alongside a 32-year-old woman charged with being an accessory after the fact.

Charging documents seen by our newsroom allege the woman actively suppressed evidence against the teen by selling a car.

The pair have a High Court appearance next month.
