Major changes are on the way for Queenstown Airport

Major changes are on the way for Queenstown Airport

Its terminal building will be extended north towards the airfield, to provide 800 metres of new offices over the next 14 months.

The 12-million-dollar project is part of its capital development programme.

The extension will include a non-passenger screening room - with significant electrical upgrades also being completed.

Project Manager Greg Emms says it's an important investment in resilience, as the airport's an essential community asset.
