Marilyn Manson has paid tribute to his "beloved friend" Ozzy Osbourne after attending his funeral

The 56-year-old rocker was among the mourners as the Black Sabbath icon was laid to rest in the grounds of his family's Buckinghamshire mansion on Thursday (31.07.25) and paid his respects to the late star on social media following the service

Marilyn wrote on Instagram: "Today we laid to rest a beloved friend. I am eternally grateful that you let me into your life Ozzy.

"Your inspiration and love will always be with me. Thank you Sharon and family for a reverent, beautiful ceremony. Your legacy lives on."

Marilyn was accompanied at the funeral by his wife Lindsay Usich and the service was also attended by Sir Elton John and members of Metallica, with guests fittingly attired in gothic and heavy metal-themed clothing.

Meanwhile, a large floral tribute in the grounds of the property spells out 'OZZY F****** OSBOURNE' on the banks of the Osbourne lake.

The service followed a funeral procession through the streets of Ozzy's home city Birmingham on Wednesday (30.07.25).

The Paranoid rocker's tearful widow Sharon Osbourne was accompanied by their children Aimee, Kelly and Jack - as well as Ozzy's son Louis from his first marriage to Thelma Riley - as they laid floral tributes and thanked the thousands of fans who had come out to pay their respects to the heavy metal pioneer.

Ozzy - who died last month at the age of 76 - was honoured with several subtle tributes from his loved ones during the funeral procession.

Sharon leant over to place a pink rose down and what appeared to be her late husband's wedding ring could be seen dangling from a long chain around her neck.

Meanwhile, Kelly honoured Ozzy's distinct sense of style with a pair of round blue-tinted glasses and her brother, Jack Osbourne, wore a black Chrome Hearts tie with a silver cross embellishment in a nod to his dad's fondness for cross jewellery.

And Aimee, who typically stays out of the spotlight, referenced Ozzy's notorious bat-biting incident from 1982 by wearing a brooch in the shape of the winged mammal.

The Crazy Train artist had previously stated that he didn't want his funeral to be a "mope-fest".

Ozzy said in 2011: "I honestly don't care what they play at my funeral - they can put on a medley of Justin Bieber, Susan Boyle and We Are The Diddymen if it makes 'em happy.

"But I do want to make sure it's a celebration, not a mope-fest."
