    Two people are in custody after a shot was fired near the central North Island jail of Waikeria


    Armed Offenders Squad officers, a dog unit and a helicopter responded just before 4 this afternoon

    A man and woman fled the scene before Police arrived. They were located at another property nearby at about 7pm.
