Mabel has got engaged to Preye Crooks

The 28-year-old pop star and festival organiser and Sony ex ecutive Preye - who is the son of retired Tottenham Hotspur soccer player Garth Crooks - celebrated their engagement by throwing a party attended by 70 of their closest pals and family

Mabel - whose real name is Mabel Alabama-Pearl McVey and is the daughter of singer Neneh Cherry - took to TikTok to post a video of her and Preye at the bash as she shows off her sparkling diamond ring.

Mabel was dressed in a beautiful pink candyfloss halterneck dress, while Preye wore a white shirt with the top few buttons undone and some smart black trousers.

Guests erupted in cheers at the sight of the ring, before they raised a glass to the happy couple and took snaps to celebrate the special occasion.

The pair later did a slow dance surrounded by petals and candles.

Preye's sister Tk posted on TikTok: "Last night, I gained a sister!

"A woman I love with all my heart.

"Congratulations to my brother and new sister."

Their friend Fat Bakare wrote on the post: "Whenever you spoke about her, I knew you really loved her. It was very clear from the start, just how deeply you felt for her.

"With any and everything you did, you put her first and I learnt a lot from you in that sense and I'm blessed to have seen your relationship blossom and flourish, To happily ever after for you both."

The 'Don't Call Me Up' hitmaker and the Strawberries and Creem Festival organiser began dating in 2021 after meeting through the industry.

Following in 'Buffalo Stance' singer Neneh's footsteps, Mabel released her first album 'High Expectations' in 2019 and in 2020 she won the BRIT Award for British Female Solo Artist.
