    There have been seven fatalities on New Zealand roads since Christmas Eve


    A serious crash in Waipapa, in the Far North, at about 4.10 yesterday afternoon has resulted in one death.

    Two motorcyclists have died in the Bay of Plenty - one yesterday in Whakatane's Murupara and the other in Tauranga on Christmas Eve.

    Also on Christmas Eve, a person died in a single-vehicle crash in Wharehine, near Wellsford - while another died in Gisborne's Hicks Bay on Boxing Day.

    On Friday, a person died in a two-vehicle collision on State Highway 25 between Thames and Coromandel.

    A death in Napier has also been provisionally added to the holiday road toll.
