    The Breakers are hugely relieved to have avoided the NBL's wooden spoon, beating the bottom-placed Cairns Taipans by seven points at Spark Arena


    With playoff hopes long gone, coach Petteri Koponen was pleased his team overcome the absence of injured playmaker Parker Jackson-Cartwright and stayed motivated.



    The Breakers host the Illawarra Hawks in their final regular season game on Wednesday.
