A warning to spa owners to clean pools - to avoid chest infection, Legionnaires' disease

It's caused by Legionella bacteria, which live in moist conditions like pools and gardening products.
Health NZ says eight of 10 cases in the year to March were linked to improperly cleaned or maintained spa pools.
Spokesperson Matt Reid says those most at risk include over-50s, and current and past-smokers.
He says older people, and those who don't have the greatest lungs are those most likely to die.
