Arnold Schwarzenegger is saddened that his son Patrick Schwarzenegger's romance with Miley Cyrus did not work out

The 31-year-old actor dated the 32-year-old singer-and-actress from November 2014 until April 2015, and Arnold, 77, loved it when his family hung out with Miley

During a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, he said: "She is a wonderful, wonderful girl and human being and very, very talented."

The Terminator actor - who also has daughters Katherine Schwarzenegger, 35, and Christina Schwarzenegger, 33, as well as son Christopher Schwarzenegger, 27, with his ex-wife Maria Shriver, 69, as well as a third son, called Joseph Baena, 27, with his former housekeeper Mildred Baena - said his family "loved" the Flowers hitmaker.

Referencing the time when Miley joined Patrick's family during a ski trip, Arnold said: "She was just such a wonderful houseguest.

    "We just all loved her."

And referring back to Andy's initial question - what was "the best and worst part" of Patrick dating Miley - the Kindergarten Cop star said: "There is no worst part.

"She was just a really good, good person and fun to hang out with. I'm sorry it didn't work out.

"But Patrick, in the meantime, found another girl that he got engaged to and is getting married to in September."

Patrick announced his engagement to 28-year-old model Abby Champion in December 2023, and he recently said they feel like they are married.

In an interview with InStyle magazine in January, The White Lotus actor explained: "We've been together 10 years, so it's like we're basically married.

"But we're better as humans together than we would be apart. We bring out the best in each other. I feel that I'm the best version of myself with her and I think she does as well."

Patrick also revealed he and Abby take a daily morning stroll to a beach, where the pair think about what they are thankful for in life.

He said: "Every morning I go on a walk with my fiancée to the beach.

"It's just us. No work, no noise. We go down there and just think about what we're thankful for. That's a constant in my life.

"I think it's great to have a moment in your day where you can take stock.

"And, maybe even sit still long enough to take in some of that golden light."
