Internal Affairs says 33-year-old Capper Alefaio ran Great One Security Limited without a license for two years.
He's appeared in Auckland District Court today after pleading guilty to three charges.
Department Chief Investigator Marty Greentree says security guards, crowd controllers, and personal guards must be certified - to ensure the profession is trusted.
He says Alefaio ultimately profited from deceiving customers.
