Two sets of grief-stricken parents want harsher penalties for drug-using drivers after their teenage daughters deaths

Two sets of grief-stricken parents want harsher penalties for drug-using drivers after their teenage daughters deaths

Ella-Rose Donker and Madison Chamberlain, were killed in separate crashes caused by drivers high on MDMA.

The girls' parents have started a petition after the young male drivers were sentenced to no more than a year of home detention.

Ella's father, Rob Donker, says he understands why younger people are kept out of jail, but more needs to be done.

He's also pushing for the Government to speed up the roadside drug-testing trial, saying he thinks it will be enough to make people think twice.
