Steven Alker is in sight of a second senior golf major victory with 18 holes left at The Players Championship

Alker's carded a three-under 67 to be tied for the lead at eight-under alongside Spaniard Miguel Angel Jimenez - two clear of the field.

Ryan Fox is back below the card after day three of the PGA Tour's Travellers Championship in Connecticut.

Fox's two-under par 68 has him tied for 37th at two-under overall, 14 shots off leader Tommy Fleetwood who blasted a seven-under par round.

American, Russell Henley is tied for second three shots back after a nine-under 61.

In Texas, Lydia Ko has climbed six places up the leaderboard after a two-over par third round at the Women's PGA Championship.

Ko's six-over for the weekend so far - Australia's Minjee Lee holds a four-shot lead at six-under.
