    Police have arrested eleven people and seized a stash of drugs, firearms and nearly one million dollars in cash, in an five-month joint investigation with Customs


    Operation Mexted involved searches of dozens of properties across Auckland and Waikato relating to an international drug operation.

    It began in June with at the search of an Air BnB in Mangere Bridge uncovering four glock pistols and a submachine gun - leading to the arrest of three American nationals.

    Another search uncovered 800-thousand dollars at a Takapuna apartment, and one man was arrested for money laundering.

    All up, ten men and one women are facing combined charges for multiple drugs and border related offences.
