    Wild weather on the South Island's West Coast, has caused slips and flooding - closing a number of state highways


    Heavy rain warnings are in place for the Grey and Buller districts - as well as headwaters of Canterbury lakes and rivers north of Hurunui River.

    State Highway Seven is closed in multiple places between Dobson and Ngahere, near Greymouth - and between Springs Junction to Reefton.

    Warnings are also in place for State Highway Six and 73 - north of Punakaiki, and between Arthur's Pass Village and Kumara Junction.
