MetService is forecasting a significant weather system arriving from the west on Labour Day - bringing heavy rain and strong winds and possibly even snow for the South Island.
It comes after fire crews say they received more than three and a half thousand weather-related calls over the last few days following this week's major storm.
Assistant National Commander Ken Cooper says they're preparing for another round.
He says it could bring some strong winds to both the east and west coast but as long as people don't light any open fires, they should be okay.
