Chris Hipkins says a Capital Gains Tax is an important change for New Zealand

The Labour Leader's just announced plans for a targeted tax to raise the health system, funding things including universal free doctor visits.

The tax wouldn't apply to the family home, farms, KiwiSaver, shares, business assets, inheritances, and personal items.

Hipkins says it'll help move the county in the right direction.

He says it'll stop New Zealand relying on property speculation and will help back Kiwi businesses, innovation and job growth.
