    Most parts of the economy are growing again

    Most parts of the economy are growing again


    Latest GDP data shows the economy grew 1.1 percent between July and September - surpassing expectations.

    It was driven by business services, manufacturing and construction.

    Infometrics Principal Economist, Brad Olsen, says only two sectors have been contracting - media and telecommunications, and education and training.

    He says growth in 14 of the 16 industries Stats NZ monitors is encouraging.
