Lala Kent suffered "disgusting" boils after being bitten by an insect

The 35-year-old reality star suffered a "rare reaction" on a previous vacation to Hawaii which saw her discover a "gnarly" rash all over her body that eventually began "oozing".

Speaking on her Untraditionally Lala podcast, she said: "You guys, OMG, I have to tell you guys a story.

"So I wake up one morning and I look at my body and there's like what looks to be little bites and it starts on my chest and on my back.

"And I'm like, this is freaking weird. I thought that maybe I brought like a sand mite home from Hawaii.

"They're becoming bigger and weird [and] itchy.

"I'm going to call it what it is. Boils. They were f****** boils. Yeah, disgusting, oozing."

The Vanderpump Rules star described herself as "patient zero" as she recalled how a medical professional entered the room in a "hazmat suit" to lance the boils for testing.

Screening ruled out bacterial infection, a staph infection, mpox and chicken pox.

Lala said: ""Biopsy comes back and it's most consistent with what looked like a rare reaction to a bug bite. Yeah, so mine was not bacterial like Bethenny Frankel's."

Lala then visited a dermatologist because she was concerned the rash would scar.

She said: "They put me on a steroid, two steroid creams, an antibiotic, and a steroid oral. I was worried about scarring."

Lala told her story after Real Housewives star Bethenny Frankel revealed earlier this month she had been "dealing with a bacterial infection" while on vacation in St. Barths.

She shared a number of photos from her vacation with daughter Bryn, including a close-up of the rash on her face, but didn't explain what led to the infestion.

But she noted in a separate video: "My entire face broke out in a rash."

Meanwhile, Lala - who has daughters Ocean, four, and Sosa, 16 months - recently revealed that she would love to have "five more babies".

She told Parents magazine: "I feel like we sunk right into this new dynamic. It is so fulfilling and it's difficult, but we're a well-oiled machine. And I just don't think I'm done. I think I need one more. I am loving it so much that I'm not ready for the stages to be over as they pass."

The blonde beauty thinks the age gaps between her future children will be important.

She said: "I didn't love that Ocean and Sosa are three and a half years apart. I like sticking to the two-and-a-half range. But you know what? The universe has a plan for me, and we just roll with it."
