    Young people's reliance on the bank of mum and dad could impact their parents' retirement


    A Kiwibank study's revealed high property prices are keeping many young buyers out of the market.

    It found 65 percent of Gen Z buyers and 43 percent of millennials - had parental support to get on the property ladder.

    First home Buyers Club Director Lesley Harris says parents' futures could start to look different.

    She says it will impact the generation going into retirement.
