    A person has been killed and another critically injured by a driver allegedly fleeing police in Auckland


    The driver accused of evading officers is also critically hurt, and yet another person has moderate injuries.

    The fleeing motorist allegedly failed to stop after being seen by police speeding along Great South Road in Penrose just before 2 this afternoon.

    Police say the fleeing driver then crashed into two other cars.

    A critical Incident Investigation has been launched, and the matter has been referred to the Independent Police Conduct Authority.
