Research from New Zealand scientists could improve the way we treat infections

Research from New Zealand scientists could improve the way we treat infections

Auckland University researchers have discovered that when exposed to daylight, our cells swing into action to fight bacteria.

They studied fish who share an immune cell with humans to learn it has a circadian clock, alerting it to daylight.

Associate Professor, Christopher Hall, says the discovery could change the way we treat inflammatory diseases.
