Health experts are demanding tougher alcohol laws to prevent children from being influenced into drinking

A Waikato University study has found that children bombarded with alcohol ads, are more likely to start drinking earlier.
Lead researcher Victoria Egli says ads should be banned from broadcast, sports events and within 500 metres of places where children are likely to be.
She says the ads normalise drinking.
