Tiaan Whelpton's made a resounding statement at the International Track Meet in Christchurch

The Kiwi sprinter's clocked a new personal best time of 10.01 seconds in the men's 100 metres.

The time won't be officially logged, as there was a high wind assist on the track.

Whelpton says his mindset has changed going into these competitions.
