    State Highway One north of Turangi is closed because of a fire


    Crews from 2 stations have responded to the vegetation fire after being alerted just after 4:30pm.

    The Transport Agency says the highway is closed near Frethy Drive.

    The recommended detour: through State Highway 41, 32 and Pohipi Road.
