New Black Caps white-ball captain Mitchell Santner has issued a mission statement on how he intends to lead the team

The 32-year-old's been anointed as Kane Williamson's successor, having already led the country in 24 T20s and 4 ODIs.

The left-arm orthodox all-rounder is expected to bring a similarly calm dressing room presence.

Santner's first official match in charge will be the opening T20 against Sri Lanka starting December 28 at Mount Maunganui.
