    The 21 year old who killed a teenage passenger when he flipped a ute on Muriwai Beach - has been sentenced to home detention


    19 year old Madison Chamberlain died in the vehicle driven by Jesse Hodge on his restricted licence, and under the influence of MDMA, in January 2024.

    Hodge has received nine months home detention, six month post-detention conditions, and an 18 month driving disqualification at the Waitakere District Court.

    Chamberlain's father says he hopes Hodge will be haunted by his daughter's death for the rest of his life.
