Paris Hilton's foster dog has returned to her owners

The 43-year-old socialite opened up her home to Chihuahua mix Zuzu, who was being cared for at the Pasadena Humane Society after her owners lost their homes in the devastating Los Angeles wildfires, and despite previously saying she was going to permanently rehome the pooch, she's now revealed the pet has returned to her family

She captioned a video documenting the reunion: "Letting go is never easy, but moments like this remind me why fostering is so important.

"Zuzu came into my life during one of the most heartbreaking times, and she was truly a beacon of hope. Saying goodbye to her was so hard, but seeing her family's faces when they arrived to bring her home made it all worth it.

"The love between Zuzu and her family is so special, and I'm so happy they're reunited after everything they've been through."

Paris admitted she "can't wait" to foster another dog.

She said: I'll always cherish the time I had with her and can't wait to foster again. Thank you, @PasadenaHumane, for making moments like this possible. #SlivingForACause (sic)"

In the video, Paris welcomed a mother and son into their house and they excitedly greeted their beloved dog.

The woman thanked the 'Stars Are Blind' hitmaker for her help and support and added: "Just making my son's whole week that he gets to have his dog back. Love you for doing this. I really appreciate it."

Paris said: "I love her so much. She's such a little angel."

She also reassured the pair that their dog had been well taken care of.

He said: "She just got groomed yesterday. We've been having movie night every night, she's been cuddling and sleeping in between my husband and I in bed with us."

When Zuzu's owner told Paris she had helped to "save" her, the blonde beauty - who has two children with husband Carter Reum -embraced her and offered her sympathy after the family lost their home, before revealing she also had gifts for them all.

The woman exclaimed: "Oh my god! What Paris?! That's amazing. Oh my gosh, I don't know what to say. Thank you. Thank you so so much."

And it seems Paris isn't planning to wait too long before fostering another pup.

She said in the video: "The love between Zuzu and her family is so special, and I'm so happy they're reunited after everything they've been through. I'll always cherish the time I had with her and can't wait to foster again.

"This just makes me want to do this again. So I'm going to talk to everyone at Pasadena Humane to see if there's any other animals in need of fostering. I hope this inspires others to do the same."
