Philip Polkinghorne maintains his wife bought the meth found in his Auckland home

The retired eye surgeon's been sentenced to 150 hours community work after admitting to possession of 37 grams of methamphetamine - he was acquitted of murdering his wife Pauline Hanna.
In a pre-sentence report, Polkinghorne said Hanna acquired the drugs.
Justice Graham Lang didn't accept that and says his pleas reflect he was the owner of the meth.
He believes Polkinghorne has tried to minimise his involvement by bringing his wife into the equation.
