The investigators who helped lock up serial rapist John Hope Muchirahondo , hope his sentencing brings victims forward

The investigators who helped lock up serial rapist John Hope Muchirahondo , hope his sentencing brings victims forward

The 39-year-old was found guilty of 17 rape and sexual assault charges last September, following accusations from 15 women spanning 12 years.

He was sentenced yesterday to 23 years with a 10 year minimum non-parole period.

Detective Inspector Nicola Reeves says investigators always believed the victims, and they hope others take note.

Reeves is urging people to speak to them - if they think something has happened - even if they're unsure, or afraid.
