Punjab cricket coach Ricky Ponting's offered a bold assessment of their 16-run Indian Premier League victory over Kolkata on the outskirts of Chandigarh

The Kings successfully defended the lowest total in the tournament's 17-year history.

After posting 111 - they dismissed the Knight Riders for 95.

Ponting's offered this on Sky Sport - after mentoring at the tournament since 2014.

Punjab have moved into the top four on eight points - the lead is separated by net run rate.
