    Auckland Council has adopted its annual plan for the 2025/26 year

    Auckland Council has adopted its annual plan for the 2025/26 year


    It will see a 5.8 percent rates rise for the average value residential property -- that rise equating to about 223 dollars a year.

    It will see 4.3 billion dollars of investment in roads, pipes and transport infrastructure over the next year, alongside 5.1 billion dollars in operating allowance for parks, libraries and cultural events.

    The budget is promising to put investment across the city including upgrades in the north, east, south and west.

    The plan will be put into place by July 1.
