The accused was absent from court this afternoon after his outburst towards a forensic psychiatrist who was giving evidence on why he believed the man was not insane.
The man is on trial at the High Court in Wellington over the blaze at Loafer's Lodge in 2023.
He has interim name suppression and is claiming a defence of insanity - but doesn't dispute he lit the fire.
Six mental health experts are giving evidence - all but one have rebutted the defence of insanity.
