    Police in Bay of Plenty have charged two men with murder and assault, over a fatal stabbing in Opotiki


    A fight broke out on Church Street between about six people -- including gang members -- just after midnight Saturday.

    A man died at the scene, stabbed in the chest.

    A 25-year-old was taken into custody on Sunday, on assault charges - and a 31-year-old was charged with murder last night.

    Police aren't seeking anyone else in relation to the homicide.
