Australia's Georgia Voll has fallen one run short of becoming the first batter to score a century in India's Women's Premier League (WPL).
Voll was left stranded on 99 not out for UP Warriorz in their 12-run over Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Lucknow.
She hit 17 fours and a six in her 56-ball innings and shared a 77-run opening partnership alongside compatriot Grace Harris (39).
Voll equalled the highest individual score in the WPL's short history, helping UP Warriorz post 5-225 from their 20 overs.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru — featuring Australians Ellyse Perry, Georgia Wareham and Kim Garth — were dismissed for 213 in the 20th over.
Voll took two catches and nervelessly bowled the final over to Royal Challengers Bengaluru, whipping off the bails after just three balls to run out Renuka Singh for 1.
Asked if she felt she had missed out on a golden chance of a historic century, Voll: "I think I did."
On 98 and facing the spin of England's Charlie Dean for the final delivery, Voll could only manage a single.
"I should have known she would bowl that [yorker]," Voll said.
It was a stunning performance from Voll, who was only called up to the WPL late last month as a replacement for Sri Lanaka's Chamari Athapaththu.
Perry began her innings for Royal Challengers Bengaluru strongly, smacking 28 off her first 14 balls to become the season's top scorer in the process on 323 runs.
But her innings came to an end when she was bowled by Anjali Sarvani.
The result meant Royal Challengers Bengaluru were knocked out of contention for the WPL title, with the Warriorz having already missed the play-offs.
Meg Lanning's Delhi Capitals and Ash Gardner's Gujarat Giants will contest next week's play-offs, alongside Mumbai Indians.
